Common questions

What grind size do I use for each brew method?
Set the manual coffee grinder coarse for French press and cold brew, medium-coarse for Chemex, medium for drip and pour-over, and fine for espresso and moka pot. Turn the adjustment a notch at a time and taste: grind finer if the cup is weak or sour, coarser if it is bitter.

Is this a burr grinder?
Yes. It uses a ceramic burr with adjustable settings, so the grounds come out even, which matters most for pour-over and espresso.

Can I travel with it?
Yes. It is compact, quiet and hand powered, so it works for camping, trips and the office with no outlet needed.

How do I get it free?
Add any 2 bags of Sweet Grounds coffee to your order and the grinder is free.

Manual or electric grinder?
A manual coffee grinder is quiet, needs no outlet and packs small for travel and camping. Grinding takes a little cranking, so it suits one or two cups at a time.
